Each year, brown trout follow the Salmon run up Lake Ontario tributaries to eat Salmon eggs and then spawn. During this time, we offer walk and wade trips on some of the tributaries near Rochester, NY. Brown Trout in this area average upwards of 6 pounds, with fish up to 20 lbs being taken every year. The first two weeks of November are generally prime time for Brown Trout, but they can be taken anytime from Halloween, until early December. These brown trout trips consist of either float fishing with spinning rods or centerpins or using fly rods to target browns. These trips offer you the chance to catch the fish of a lifetime on smaller water bodies.
